Privacy policy
GymFactories (gymfactories.com) is operated by the Zalio group (zalio.ai), as disclosed across the site. This policy describes, in plain terms, what we collect on each surface, why, who it is shared with, and how to get it corrected or deleted. We aim to handle personal information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect, and why
Enquiry and application forms
Manufacturer enquiries, finance/insurance enquiries, calculator and shortlist exports, list-your-factory applications and the updates subscription collect what you type: email, and optionally name, company, country, phone, quantity, timeline and your message — plus the page you submitted from and, where present, the campaign parameters (utm_source/medium/campaign) and referrer of your visit. We use these details to do the thing you asked for: route your enquiry, send your export, assess your application, or send the list.
Gym designer
Requesting quotes (and landlord-pack export) captures your email, gym stage and your equipment schedule/layout so we can match and send it to catalogued manufacturers. Drafts and saved layouts otherwise stay in your own browser (localStorage) and never reach our servers.
Contact profile
We keep one contact record per email address across these surfaces, with an append-only history of what you asked for. Marketing email is strictly opt-in: submitting a form is never treated as marketing consent. Only ticking the optional box (or subscribing to the updates list, where subscribing is the consent) opts you in, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Analytics events
We record coarse, anonymous usage events (page/tool milestones and form completions) under a random per-visit session id that is regenerated on every page load, never stored in your browser, and never joined to your contact record. Event payloads are restricted server-side so they cannot contain free text, contact details or layout geometry.
Who we share it with
- Manufacturers — when you request quotes, the named / shortlisted manufacturers receive your requirements or equipment schedule and your email so they can respond.
- Finance and insurance brokers — a finance or insurance enquiry is passed to the named provider on the page you enquired from, who contacts you directly. Broker pages disclose that we may receive a referral fee.
- The Zalio group — leads are forwarded into the Zalio group's inbound CRM (the site's operator) for follow-up, and transactional email is sent via our email provider (Resend) from the zalio.ai domain.
We never sell your details, and we never publish them — supplier listings show only registry-checkable business facts, never personal contact data.
Cookies and browser storage
The public site sets no advertising cookies. We use browser storage for: your designer drafts and saved layouts (localStorage), your shortlist (localStorage), and a small session record of the campaign parameters/referrer you arrived with (sessionStorage) so an enquiry made a few pages later still attributes to the right source.
Retention
Enquiries and contact records are kept while they are commercially relevant — an open enquiry, an active subscription, or an ongoing conversation — and deleted on request. Anonymous analytics events carry no identity and are kept for aggregate reporting.
Access, correction and deletion
Email hello@zalio.ai to access, correct or delete anything we hold about you, or to unsubscribe from all marketing. We'll act on it and confirm.
